The Simpson College Jazz Camp has been in existence since 2003 and is known for its excellence in Iowa jazz education. The camp's success and popularity flourished under the leadership of Dr. Dave Camwell, who now is Director of Jazz Studies at Troy University in Alabama. The new director of the camp is currently unknown.
